MCKENNA SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION ANNOUNCES PARTNERS FOR INAUGURAL JAY SHARRERS OFFICIATING SCHOOL
The Bill McKenna Scholarship Foundation is excited to announce the list of partners and sponsors for the 2022 Jay Sharrers Officiating School, which will take place August 5-7, 2022 at the Sport Stable in Superior, CO.
The Jay Sharrers Officiating School is a 3-day ice hockey officiating camp featuring classroom curriculum, on-ice instructions, and live-game evaluations. The school is open to grassroots officials (ages 14+) in the host state, neighboring states, and from other parts of North America. All proceeds of the camp benefit the Bill McKenna Scholarship Foundation and will be used to establishe a scholarship fund exclusively for officials from Colorado and surrounding states.
The Colorado Amateur Hockey Association is the Colorado affiliate of USA Hockey promoting and supporting ice hockey in Colorado. CAHA's goals are to create an environment of fair play and fun. CAHA's mission is to maintain the integrity of the game for the enjoyment of all.
The recently formed Colorado Avalanche Alumni Association is determined to give back to the game that has been so generous to all of us over the years. The proceeds from donations will be reinvested locally to help grow the game in the state of Colorado.
ETJ is the philanthropic entity of Lynne and Matt Sharrers and their four children. It exists to help young women and men reach their full potential. The inspiration of ETJ is from Dan Sharrers, Matt’s father. Dan believed that to live one’s best life, they must enjoy the journey versus focuing on the destination. As a result, ETJ directs its financial contributions and support to deeply dedicated individuals and causes that are attempting to be great. ETJ believes that everybody needs a little help on the pursuit of one’s dreams.
